Not sure if many of you know, but I went to Arizona this last week for a mini-vacation to regain my sanity. I'm not sure what I can really say but it was an amazing time and I am definitely bringing Blistex or Vaseline with me for the next trip. It's incredibly dry so your lips get chapped really quickly but other than that let me paint you a picture...nah forget that, I'll just show you instead! Without further adieu, my videos from Arizona!
This first one is me being silly...on my way to Goldfield Ghost Town and getting my cowboy hat!
So basically a little preview of Arizona...or I should say Arizono, haha. So I made my way to Az-Tex Hats and was able to get my very own cowboy cat! It's not one of the usual cowboy hats that original cowboys wear but its more or less the ones that Keith Urban and the "new" type of cowboys wear. That's what the lady at the store told me anyways! Let me know what you think!
So finally got my cowboy hat, glasses and ready to get to Goldfield Ghost Town already! The sooner I got to the mountains the more gorgeous they looked. Of course I can't really show you through the videos but I tried my best! This next video is next to the Goldfield mountains. Take a look!
Finally! Goldfield Ghost Town! I thought I'd never make it! Well that's not true, I knew I'd make it but I finally made it! Hm, I think used finally a few too many times in this post but yeah made it to the actual wild wild west! Well, what can I say about Goldfield Ghost Town? It was simply amazing. All of the buildings were everything that I always thought that old western towns would be as well as the atmosphere. The history behind Goldfield is more or less that there was such a huge finding of gold for a short period of time that people that would it was going to become the next Mesa however after a huge opening between 1893-1897, they hit a water well and had to stop mining (you can't mind in water). They tried to re-open in the 1920s but stopped in about 1926 and that was the end of Goldfield. Fantastic place to look at how things were in the 1890s though...
And last but not least! The Arizona mountains and amazing scenic view. I'll keep this short but kids DO NOT try this at home...driving and making a video is definitely crazy...I would know. Make sure you know what you're doing! Enjoy the last video!
