SO... I figure I haven't talked about love in awhile and I actually did have a few ideas randomly throughout the past however many weeks but just haven't had the time to put anything together until now...dun dun dunnnnnnnnnn. So yeah, love is definitely the most powerful thing in the world if not universe BUT take it with a grain of salt.
I usually only focus on the cynical portion probably because of my life experiences and just the general mentality and attitude of those around me (C.R.E.A.M.) but anyways so I'll take two examples and then you can decide where love stands for you...I'm going to guess it depends on what your current situation is but everyone has their own idea of love sweet love.
OK, let's take the example of the good kind of love. Good love is more or less; love for oneself (to an extent), family, friends, nature and your significant other (also to an extent). So basically, in this type of love, you're willing to do anything to a certain extent but its only when you go to the extremes when its bad. NO, I said I wasn't going to go to the bad love yet, so love is based on a few principles; respect, loyalty and a compromise. I'm actually not even sure why I said that but anyways, so let's take the example of nature. People in olden times used to love nature, respect it and there was a compromise between people and the environment and they lived in peace and harmony for many many years. Such a sweet story, it makes my heart tingle...sike. The same way goes for relationships now a days, you need all three to have a peaceful and loving relationship. It can move mountains, changes families, and all that good stuff. Also love for religion can be a good thing except if you love it too much and force it upon others...but we'll get to that in a second. So, as Kelly would say from The Office, "love is so awesome and cool and I love it, totally awesome."
Yes! My favorite part of this post! Obviously, we all know that in most cases that is definitely NOT how love works. Kids are just so naive these days! OK, let's see where to begin. Well we know exactly what love is...but let's have some examples of love in the wrong reasons. So you supposedly "love" someone and you're like, "I'll do anything for love and I'll even do that"
and meanwhile you're like breaking all your principles and all that nonsense for some dude you just met on the street because he said, "how you doin?" It's when you go to extremes that's when love is the absolute worst. Love for money i.e. our financial times now and increased regulation because there ain't no love for the rest of the people in the world. God forbid everyone gets money but no people are corrupt and want it for themselves. Love for power, too. All of our dirty politicians who don't pay their taxes and expect us to pay it and get under the table money for using our bailout money to fund their campaigns indirectly...etc etc. The list goes on and on and on and on....."Don't stop believin...hold on to that feelinnnnnnnnnn"
So basically, know who you love and love who you know and don't take things for granted but also don't give too much. In the end, you use love for whatever you see fit but at the same time before you can love anything in the world you have to love yourself and I know this for a fact if you don't love yourself first you can't love anything else. Once you do love yourself though, you'll see things fall into place and hopefully a balance will arise from whence the ashes of your former self were. You can quote me on that, chyeah!
