Real Modern Warfare 2

With all the hype surrounding Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2, I'm surprised no one has written about how realistic this scenario is. I have read a few reviews about how "far fetched" the storyline is but is it really? How much time is left until foreign enemies infiltrate our soil and launch an all out offensive? How long until the domestic people of the United States stay dormant dealing with severe economic hardship and endless debt? Why not a scenario that incorporates both? I have a hard-time believing that many with their backs pressed to the wall would betray our nation. I mean we see it in the Fed anyways...but more on the banking cartel later.

We take for granted our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness day after day, but all of those currently serving and risking their lives for what purpose? When we founded this great nation, it was founded on the principles of freedom and economic prosperity to those who reached for it. The government had nothing to do with economic policies, giving out handouts (aka Medicare/Medicaid) or helping people buy houses. The had one role which was to protect the interests of the American people. Our founding fathers would be shocked to see how deeply corrupt our system is and how out of place our government has become. Since when did it become our duty to spread democracy across the world? Of course to us it seems like the best government but other economies i.e. China have done quite well. When other governments try to spread their sphere of influence, we scold them and set restrictions on trade.

Foreign Threat: Now as we maintain the peace in Iraq and continue fighting an endless enemy in Afghanistan, our troops don't even know why they are fighting anymore. It's funny how I can't find anything on the web supporting that claim now...and we can't bring our troops back home because they'd have nothing to do. There are no jobs in America, what's the best thing to do? Send more troops out. The only things coming out of Afghanistan are opium and lives of those fallen protecting our freedom. Can you guess the estimated amount of opium being exported annually? Over $64 billion dollars. I wouldn't be surprised if we controlled many of those farms. I guess you really can put a price on human lives...Our military is engaging in conflicts all over the world you'd wonder why we don't have more foreign enemies. In the clip above, the person states, "the world has been your battle field, everywhere you go the blood of brothers and sons screams up at you." We are only of a few select countries that has an unquenchable thirst for blood; Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Persian Gulf, Iraq, and Afghanistan to name the major wars of the last century. We've never had a war on our soil due to our distance from our enemies but with technological/biological advancements along with foreign government help our chances are going up.

Domestic Threat: As our government offers more and more to the "underprivileged" class, the middle class is set to be destroyed. There is only so much Americans will take in terms of losing their economic freedom they gained through their hard-work and determination. America was built on the fundamentals that each person has the opportunity to make what they want for the life, not work for someone else. While extending these olive branches to the poor, they create hardship for the actual working class to pay higher taxes and service our already unreasonable debt. Many of us are already questioning how much power the Feds have in our daily lives. If pushed to extremes i.e. forced vaccination for swine flu, etc or the use of the national guard to do the President's bidding I wouldn't cancel out resistance and ultimately internal conflict. In addition, the amount of citizens that own guns bought legally and illegally we could have ourselves general urban warfare. The only question is do the men and woman who swore to protect the United States value the Constitution and the Bill of Rights more than the will of the President? I should hope so since the Constitution is the law of the land.

So while this scenario is jut that, we shouldn't be so quick to call it far fetched. So God-forbid either of these threats come to pass but all shouldn't take for granted that our current situation will go on forever. No one ever thought Rome would fall and after they expanded their empire across Europe and their debt...
