World Still Cheating?

|
You know what quite interesting lately, is the lack of cheating that I have heard in through my friends as well as in the media.  I mean, of course, there is Kim Kardashian scandal but other than that the last real cheating I have heard was maybe Ashton Kutcher or at the cheater of the century, Tiger Woods.

It's funny because during recessions, people generally stay together...either standards have gone down or people become more accepting and understanding of those they are with.  I have always said that in order to have a successful relationship, you need to:

  1. Know your purpose and realize what you want to accomplish in life
  2. Know what you want from your relationship and follow through
For those that are in current successful relationships, good for you!  You have probably either at one point thought about both of those.  Usually when you have been burned a few times, you really know what you want from your life and from your partner.  From the early 90s to just before the recession of 2005, there was a huge trend in the number of cheaters and divorces in the US.  If you look in the last few years, that statistic has dropped dramatically.

Are people settling because of lack of money?  Have we become more mature?  I think its a little of both to be honest.  Generally, people cheat because they are lacking something but have nothing to lose.  Now it seems that they do have something to lose - 50% of their income!  Keep it real and keep being loyal.  Happiness is what you make of it and if you're unhappy then you shouldn't be where you are but that doesn't mean you can find a side piece.
